Eight historical scenes come to life thanks to a magic lantern on the refurbished Montescot Mansion, depicting pictures from the French Revolution to the Liberation of France, 150 years seen through the eyes of eight mayors of Chartres, from the fiery Triballet to the wise Doctor Haye, in a fresco that moves to the rhythm of newspaper headlines of those periods, a trip back in time with the local newspapers "la Paix" or "l'indépendant". ".
