Draped in red velvet waving in the winds of the Courtille,
the theatre bears the finely sculpted attire of the Italian Rooms
on its light-coloured stone. Caryatids bedecked with columns, it elegantly
bears the facade enhanced with the sound of Bel Canto. And inside,
views of the boulevard, with onlookers passing by on the avenues of
Chartres with melodies of Puccini, Verdi or Rossini floating on the
breeze, seen from the groined vaults. A suite for the theatre alone,
that in the play combines movement with voice, dance with colour,
and the magic of the show with the feats of image.
Produced with the participation of Jean-François Charles for
the video footage, scenes one after the other, coloured prints from
Garnier with the swaying shadows and unbridled sax, a voyage in theatre
at its fullest.
