Eurelium

Built in the 18th century, the Eurélium was first the minor seminary of Chartres, a Catholic school attached to the diocese of Chartres. At the end of the 18th century, several structures followed one another in the building: courts, a veterans' barracks, classes for the departmental central school...

Once re-established, the diocese of Chartres installed the major seminary of Saint-Charles there, for the training of future priests. At the beginning of the 20th century, the departmental archives took possession of the premises.

Today, the Eurélium houses part of the Chartres Judicial Court.
